Artist Profile: Christiana Thrasyvoulidou
Christiana Thrasyvoulidou was born and raised in Limassol. Upon completing her secondary school education she attended the Limassol Technical School for two years, where she realised her ambition to become a ceramist by attending evening pottery courses. She further developed and sought to perfect her techniques and skills with the Komitis, one of Cyprus' distinguished potters and instructors. Christiana's professional career commenced in 1981. Her creative works have allowed her to contribute to several exhibitions locally and internationally. Moreover, she has collaborated with the Cyprus Tourism Organization (CTO) for the promotion of Cyprus abroad through her unique creations. Today she maintains the Peftasteri workshop in the centre of the old quarter of Limassol.
