Andriana Yemetta Kedariti

Visual Artist – Ceramist

I was born in Karavas, Keryneia. Today I live and work in Limassol where I have my studio. This is where I also exhibit my ceramic and other artwork.

I love creating artwork in different types of media and techniques. I began my artistic career in the field of painting, mainly in acrylics and oil, experimenting with many different mediums including engraving/printmaking and mosaics. Nowadays I am mostly involved in ceramics. The main sources of my inspiration are the vessels from archaeological collections and memories of places and people giving a contemporary aesthetic by using different mediums (clay, iron, glass). I currently concentrate on creating both functional and decorative ceramics ranging from vases and wall installations, to small earrings and pendants. Mostly with earthenware clay, fired in 1040°C. I also use stoneware. The technique is hand building by pinching, coiling and slab building. My work can be seen in public and private collections in United Kingdom, USA and Cyprus. I was initially taught the art of ceramics by the ceramist Vasso Pandehi.
